and then get back on later that day if I'm holding a
point-to-point ticket?

Do
you have electronic ticketing? |
 |
Sorry, European railways currently do not offer this service.
|
 |
|
 |
Should
Eurostar, Thalys and other Premier Train tickets be purchased prior
to your US departure date? |
 |
Yes, it's important to purchase tickets and make your seat
reservations prior to your departure from the US so you can avoid
fully booked trains.
Please also remember that the National French Railways does NOT
deliver train tickets overseas. So, click
here to order your tickets from the OFFICIAL Representative of the
SNCF for North and Central America including Mexico. Your price
is more than competitive and for orders under certain conditions,
delivery is totally
FREE... see conditions when you buy your ticket.

 |
Can
tickets be sent outside the United States or Canada? |
 |
We recommend that you have all your documents before you depart
for Europe; however, we can ship documents overseas. An additional
charge for international shipping applies.

 |
Does
a 1st Class ticket guarantee you a seat on the train? |
 |
No. A ticket allows you to board the train, but does not
guarantee you a seat. You must make a seat reservation to have a
guaranteed seat on the train. NOTE: On certain trains tickets and
reservations are sold together as one ticket.

Can
a seat reservation be made with a 2nd Class ticket? |

Can
I get off the train for a few hours, and then get back on later that
day if I'm holding a point-to-point ticket? |
 |
Yes, you may get on and off at as many stops as you wish, as long
as you continue proceeding toward your final destination. AND as
long as your end your trip by midnight of the day following the
initial stamping of your ticket when you first boarded the train.

If my train tickets are lost
or stolen can I get them replaced? |
 |
Under no circumstances will the SNCF
replace any tickets even if they are lost or stolen. So, I suggest
you equip yourself with a "waist purse". A purse that is
close to your body where you can keep all your precious papers (passport,
driver's licence, money and travel tickets).
A word to the wise, never separate yourself from your waist purse,
and NEVER open it in front of or at the request of strangers. I hope
you know what I mean. |
