Valmorel la Belle lives up to its "beautiful" name. This resort is a true architectural success designed in harmony with its natural environment. Located on a woody site, the village is made up of large wooden and stone chalets grouped around a magnificent resort center: the Bourg Morel. Cars are not allowed in Valmorel. Pedestrian trips are made even easier with a mountain cableway. The skiable slopes connected with St. François Longchamp are designed for medium-level skiers. Green ski slope for Learners. These are usually not marked trails, but tend to be large open, gently sloping areas at the base of the ski area.  27 slopes Blue ski slope are Easy. Similar to the North American Green Circle, and are almost always groomed, or on so shallow a slope as not to need it  31 slopes Red ski slopes are Intermediate. Steeper, or narrower than a blue slope, these are usually groomed, unless the narrowness of the trail prohibits it  17 slopes Black ski slopes are Difficult. Steep, may or may not be groomed, or may be groomed for mogul. It is worth noting that 'Black' can be a very wide classification, ranging from a slope marginally more difficult than a 'Red' to an icy mogulfield  8 slopes
