Morzine is a village with an assertively Savoyard character and perfectly-controlled development. At an altitude of 1000 m, its woody, hilly environment contrasts with the sheer mountains that surround it. Green ski slope for Learners. These are usually not marked trails, but tend to be large open, gently sloping areas at the base of the ski area.  5 slopes Blue ski slope are Easy. Similar to the North American Green Circle, and are almost always groomed, or on so shallow a slope as not to need it  22 slopes Red ski slopes are Intermediate. Steeper, or narrower than a blue slope, these are usually groomed, unless the narrowness of the trail prohibits it  29 slopes Black ski slopes are Difficult. Steep, may or may not be groomed, or may be groomed for mogul.
